APEX RIVERBEACH HOLIDAY PARK'S SUSTAINABLE GOALS AND TARGETS

The Apex RiverBeach Holiday Park both recognises and aligns our organisations behaviours to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as they are the global road map to Sustainable Development

Our philosophy is very simple, if we look after the environment, visitors, the people who work here and the surrounding communities the park will look after itself.

Environment

The environment where we operate.

Visitors

The people who visit and stay at our park.

Employees

Our people who work here at the park.

Communities

The surrounding communities in which we operate.

We have started our journey to transition towards a more sustainable future by setting ambitious goals for our park over the next two years:

  • We aim to reduce our water consumption by more than 50%
  • We aim to reduce our power consumption by more than 50% and transition to renewable energy where possible
  • We aim to reduce our waste to landfill by more than 50%
  • We aim to increase the natural biodiversity in the park by planting only native species
  • We are already a major contributor to the local communities via tourism and employment – we have gone further and adopted a policy to support Mildura based suppliers only.
  • For example, we only purchase our outdoor furniture from masp.org.au
